PALS Adopt-A-Stream

Program

Recently, seven men took it upon themselves to clean up the Beech Creek area. Charlie McClendon, Dave Spiller, Luther Walker, Wayne Hyde, John Reeves, Jim Manley and Bob Irby joined together to make a difference in their community. Peoples Bank and Citizens Bank and Trust donated Adopt-A-Stream hats and McDonalds donated free coffee for the workers.

Beech Creek was the second stream to be adopted in Marshall County. Family and friends of jean and Doyle Jackson previously adopted Jackson Branch.

Perhaps you're an avid boater, fisherman or other water sports enthusiast. Help protect our water environment...ask about the PALS Adopt-A-Stream program!

"Keeping our communities clean affects economic development, aesthetic beauty as well as the environment and our health, This is all about communities working together for
a better and healthier Alabama,” says Spencer Ryan, of Alabama PALS.
